 Just a quick note that the story isn’t a straightforward “lost decade.” Human development indicators (health, education, housing) are up. Lots of infrastructure is being built all over the place. The real challenges behind the growth slowdown are: 1) productivity increases have stalled since about 2014 (and was higher than India’s for a while 2) delayed

1) productivity increases have stalled since about 2014 (and was higher than India’s for a while
2) delayed fertility transition continues to depress the per capita income measure.
